The Sick And Selfish Game Tony Ortega Plays

In our last installment we saw how Tony Ortega has a history of lying and gaslighting his way through his professional life every bit as much as personal life.

We saw yesterday how Tony Ortega lied during a speech to students at his own former college, feigning innocence in the face of honest protest against Ortega for his role as a sex trafficking apologist.

It has been said before but bears repeating — such bare-faced public lies are by no means isolated incidences in the life of Tony Ortega.

Take for example the case of yet another protest Tony Ortega found himself on the receiving end of. This one happened right in front of Tony Ortega’s fancy office at the Village Voice headquarters in Manhattan.

So great was the outrage at what Tony and his sex trafficking pals were up to that even the son of The Village Voice’s own founder joined in among the crowds offurious demonstrators.

And yet, even with protestors swarming the building Tony Ortega had the gall to lie to the face of a reporter from Gawker, denying that he, notorious defender of digital pimps and perverts, had any connection whatsoever with Backpage.

In yet another egregious episode of Tony gaslighting the public, the Gawker reporter quoted Tony Ortega’s act of deceit verbatim in an article later that same

day.

It read:

“As for the protests today, I wish them the best of luck. No one who actually works in this office has anything to do with Backpage, but still, I understand why they picked our building.” – Tony Ortega, Nov. 16 2011

This was nothing short of a whopping great lie. Nothing to do with Backpage? Backpage was the only thing keeping Tony Ortega’s company afloat.

But of course Ortega knew this, and it was Tony Ortega gaslighting again, just as he does with anyone who catches on to what he’s doing, or the underhanded means by which does it.

This is the sick and selfish game Tony Ortega plays. Whenever someone tries to bring his shadowy behavior to light (exposing him as an apologist for an underage online sex farm, for example) Tony Ortega is ready with a lie to make himself appear to be the injured party and to make you seem like the crazy one for every daring to challenge him.
